Compassion and the benefits of bodywork...

You know when you are "trying to have compassion" for a situation or person that has started to bother you, you are not in compassion at all.  There is no trying with compassion.  It just is not something you can force yourself to feel. Compassion is a natural sensitivity that is felt without effort simply because you are in a state of allowing it.  Like walking in the wilderness and stumbling across a gorgeous waterfall that you weren't expecting to see.

When you connect with and experience your own emotional pain/angst, through some kind of healing therapy like conscious bodywork, storytelling, meditation, the pain within your body begins to shift.  There is an opening and release that frees you.  Allowing you to naturally connect with the world around you with compassion,  understanding and kindness.
