North Bay Educational Foundation is pleased to host a free, community event entitled "Accelerating English Learning"Hear from an educational expert who will present compelling information about:
- How to accelerate English learning through engaging grammar instruction
- Why grammar-instructed English learners read with better comprehension
- Identifying students who need intensive English grammar instruction
- How full English proficiency leads to lower high school drop out rates, greater viable pathways to college and higher earning potential

This presentation is open to the public, and we encourage anyone with an interest in this important educational topic to attend. The same presentation will be given twice that evening; in English beginning at 6pm and in Spanish beginning at 7:30pm.
Translation and child care will be provided at both meetings.

For the past 20 years, Kevin Clark has assisted schools, districts, and states with the design, implementation, and evaluation of education programs for English language learners. He and his team of trainers have worked nationally to design and help implement many of the most successful programs for English learners in the country. His common sense approach to helping educators and parents to better understand how to develop language skills that are necessary for school success has helped improve educational programs for English learners of all ages.
