Clay is a wonderful, tactile medium and what you can create from a lump of clay is almost limitless. In this class we explore a variety hand building methods and design concepts that will help students achieve their goals. A variety of texturing methods, surface treatments and glazing possibilities will be presented. If you've been frustrated with traditional throwing methods, come and see what you can do with the "other" way of working with clay.
Beginning and advanced studetns welcome. Materials fee covers 50 pounds of clay, gazes, bisque, and glaze firing.
