The John F. Kennedy Library will celebrate JAM (Jazz Appreciation Month) by presenting a free jazz concert on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 12 noon in the Joseph Room.
The concert will feature the Dalt Williams Quartet performing music of jazz composers born in the month of April. The music of Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, Herbie Hancock, Gerry Mulligan, and Shorty Rogers will be performed. Friends of the Vallejo Libraries is sponsoring the free event.
Dalt Williams is a graduate of San Francisco State University and taught music at Benicia High School from 1968 to 1995. He has performed wilh Vince Guaraldi, Ed Thigpen, David Van Kreidt, Larry Vuckovich, Calvin Keys, Rudy Salvini, and Al Trobbe.
