Come join the Muscular Dystrophy Association at Hopmonk Tavern on Tuesday, June 25th from 11am-2pm for the 2013 Novato Lock Up!
This year Novato community leaders and business owners get the honor of serving time behind bars to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). These Jailbirds are charged with having a big heart and they set out to raise $1,600 “bail” to benefit MDA - the nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy. In addition to funding some 300 research teams worldwide, MDA maintains a local network of five medical clinics, facilitates support groups for families affected by neuromuscular diseases; and provides free local summer camp for youngsters, held in the Sonoma County Coastal Redwoods every August.
