Poles For Walking, Hiking & Improved Mobility

Poles For Walking, Balance & Mobility Workshop: Wednesday, March 20 from 1:00-4:00 p.m at the Margaret Todd Senior Center.   Pole walking will improve your balance, help you navigate curbs, increase endurance and improve your posture.  Even couch potatoes and non-athletic types, can use poles to strengthen upper body muscles to preserve their joints, knees and spines to help prevent dangerous falls. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing the instructor will show you how to use the poles correctly to expand your walking capabilities, improve your mobility and make your outdoor experiences safer and more fun. Poles will be provided.  Presented by Jayah Faye Paley, educator, author and creator of an award-winning DVD “Poles for Hiking, Trekking & Walking," Sponsored by the Novato Independent Elders Program with Marin Community Foundation .  There is a $15 fee for the class payable at the door.
