Bringing Awareness of Slavery: Internationally, Nationally and Locally

Please join the Be2Live Leadership Academy and the many others in our fight against Modern Day Slavery.
On Saturday, April 20th, we will be hosting an awareness and action event "We have a Voice" at Novato High School in the cafeteria. Please come and join us between 11am-5pm
Did you know that there are more people being trafficked today than there were in the transatlantic slave trade? There are approximately 14,500-17,500 people being smuggled into the US.  A human slave today, on average, costs about $90. In the 1860s before slavery was abolished, the average cost of a slave was the equivalent of $130,000
Human trafficking is modern day slavery.  We are doing this because we want to use our voices for good. There is only 1 in 100 chance for a victim to be rescued from human trafficking. If we spread awareness of this horrible crime we can increase the percentage of rescue and decrease the amount of human trafficking victims.
We are being a voice and making a difference by bringing awareness and creating hope for this devastating issue. We hope one day the issue of modern day slavery is put to a final end! Let's speak up for those who have been silenced!
Tickets available at www.brownpapertickets.com and at the door.
Adults $5.00Students $3.00
