Fire Badly Damages Historic Point Reyes Building
A historic building at Point Reyes Station sustained extensive damage before crews managed to contain it Friday afternoon.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — A historic building at Point Reyes Station sustained extensive damage before crews from several Marin County agencies were able to contain the blaze on Friday.
The fire was reported at 12:10 p.m. at the 1914 era Foresters Hall in the 500 block of Mesa Road and witnesses said smoke and flames were coming from the back of the building.

It was also initially feared that several were inside the three-story building before crews determined otherwise, the Marin County Fire Department said.

The fire was contained to the exterior and two studio apartments and an exterior deck sustained fire and water damage. There were no injuries reported.
The county department was assisted by fire departments from Inverness and Skywalker Ranch, along with the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
