Fire Breaks Out at Novato Home
Fire officials say a man used a garden hose to help keep the flames bay until they arrived.
NOVATO, CA- A bedroom fire was quickly extinguished at a northwest Novato residence Thursday afternoon, a Novato Fire Protection District spokeswoman said.
The fire was reported around 1:35 p.m. at a two-story, single-family home in the 100 block of Manzano Court, district spokeswoman Sandy Wargo said.
A male resident used a garden hose to spray water at the second-story bedroom window from outside the residence, Wargo said. That helped firefighters contain and extinguish the blaze in the bedroom at the back of the house, she said.
