Former Black Panther To Give Lecture At College Of Marin
Activist and poet Ericka Huggins will talk about the importance of inclusive grassroots movements that honor the voices of the marginalized.
From the College of Marin: Educator, former Black Panther Party member, political prisoner, human rights activist, and poet Ericka Huggins speaks about the importance of inclusive grassroots movements that honor the voices of the marginalized, especially youth. For 37 years, Ms. Huggins has lectured in the United States and internationally on human rights, restorative justice, and the role of spiritual practice in sustaining activism and promoting social change. Her work as a speaker and facilitator is based on her belief in the greatness of each human heart.
