FREE Outdoor Concert on Novato City Green - Aug 22!

The City of Novato's Saturday Concerts on the Green Continue on August 22 at 5:00pm with Freddy Clarke & Wobbly World

Please join Novato’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department for their second summer concert on Saturday, August 22 and enjoy music from around the globe with Freddy Clarke and the Wobbly World!

Freddy Clarke has been called the “Kenny G of flamenco guitar,” and his music has been described as Smashing Pumpkins meets Gypsy Kings. He is considered one of the Bay Area’s most talented performing artists. Freddy Clarke founded the Wobbly World, which is a revolving group of internationally recognized musicians who come together and create a powerful and unique collaboration of music.

This free Saturday evening outdoor concert will feature lively and inspirational tunes that encompass sounds from Africa, Bulgaria, China, Cuba, Denmark, Iran, Morocco, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Syria, Vietnam and the United States. Wobbly World’s music is a refreshing mix of contrasting musical traditions, and yet the music flows with a deep sense of cohesion. Wobbly World musicians acknowledge that we live in a tenuous environment these days, hence the group’s name, but they are committed to successful musical collaboration and they challenge their listeners to think about other ways we can collaborate with one another from around the world. If their music is any indication of what can be accomplished when we all work together, we think this is a great sign!
