Google Chromebooks at Marin Christian Academy

Marin Christian Academy (MCA), an accredited, K-8, private school in Novato, is pleased to announce their C3 Integrated Technology Initiative designed to transform and accelerate the learning experience for students. The C3 label represents the three major components of the initiative: Curriculum ,Computers, and Competency. The initiative, which will launch in August 2013, includes Google Chromebooks for students in 6th-8th grades, new interactive computer-based curriculum, and enhanced training and integration services to assure success. The school is also investing in upgrades to the technology infrastructure and network at the school’s Novato campus to support the initiative.

As part of the initiative, middle school students will each have their own Google Chromebook to use both during lessons at school and at home. The vision behind the C3 initiative is not only to embrace the latest technology and learning methods, but also to transform the learning experience and empower both teachers and students to meet the educational challenges of the 21st century.

“The initiative represents our ongoing commitment to educational excellence and to meet the unique challenges of raising our kids in the 21st century,” states Christopher Mychajluk, Principal of MCA. “Combined with the dedication of our staff, optimal class sizes, and our heritage of spiritual values, this makes MCA one of the best places in the North Bay to educate your children,” he continues.

Parent Tonja Auyeung is excited about the initiative and says; “The Chromebook is an excellent tool for educating our children in today’s technology savvy environment. By working ‘in the cloud’ my son will have access to the classwork information he needs, whether it is specific to class subjects or research on the internet for a project. Way to go MCA! Great decision to digitize the classroom!”

About Marin Christian Academy Since 1979, MCA has partnered with parents in the education of their children. The teaching and administrative staff are dedicated to educational excellence and creating an environment in which children can develop mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually. MCA is an ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) accredited school.
