LAPSIT STORYTIME

Where/When: Novato Library, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10-11 a.m.

Why Go: Your toddler needs to get out of the house, and so do you.  Songs, stories, rhythms!

Pricing: free

JUBILEE AMERICAN DANCE THEATRE

Where/When: Bay Area Discovery Museum, Fort Baker, Sausalito, Saturday 11 a.m.

Why Go: Because it’s Lincoln’s birthday and this ensemble celebrates America through dance, songs and music. The kids will love the costumes, too.

Pricing:$14 general adult/$12 general child

MAGICIAN, STORYTELLER AND JUGGLER BOB KANN

Where/When:  The Hoytt Theater at the Osher Marin JCC, San Rafael, Sunday 1-2 p.m.

Why Go: Magic tricks, jugging, impressive storytelling ... What's not to love about that combo?

Pricing: $8 general public

MARIN FARMERS MARKET

Where/When: Marin Civic Center, San Rafael, Thursday 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Why Go: The kiddos will love decorating the market’s aisles with sidewalk chalk.  Draw a giant heart.  Of course, you can pick up dinner fixins’ while you’re there!

VALENTINE’S DAY COOKIE DECORATING

Where/When: Whole Foods, Sunday noon-2 p.m.

Why Go:  How fun is it to decorate cookies (and not in your kitchen)? Maybe the kids will even save one for you.
