High-Risk Sex Offender Tracked With GPS Monitor To Sonoma Co. Fair: Police

The 32-year-old was arrested Thursday night.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA –A high-risk sex offender was arrested Thursday in Santa Rosa when he showed up at the Sonoma County Fair, police said.

Andrew Lloyd Olsen, 32, was arrested on suspicion of violation of parole conditions.

Officers with the Santa Rosa Police Department were dispatched Thursday at 10:30 p.m. to the Sonoma County Fair to locate a high-risk sex offender after a state parole officer notified police the offender was
possibly at the fairgrounds.

Police said Lloyd was wearing a GPS monitor that had tracked his location to the fairgrounds.

Lloyd was prohibited from attending the fair per the conditions of his release on parole, police said.

As police responded to the fair, Lloyd's GPS indicated he had left the fair and was traveling on foot toward the east side of Santa Rosa. Officers were able to locate Lloyd in the area of Montgomery Drive and Summerfield Road and he was taken into custody without incident.
