Highway 1 To Close For Construction Near Marin-Sonoma County Line
Delays are expected. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes if possible.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – State Highway 1 will be closed for construction next week near the Marin-Sonoma county line. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 14 between Valley Ford Road to the north and Tomales Petaluma Road to the south, according to Caltrans.
Caltrans crews will be pouring concrete on a section of the new Estero-Americano Bridge on Highway 1 in Marin County. The new bridge will be constructed with improved height clearance as the old bridge was prone to flooding from the creek below.
Motorists will be detoured onto Tomales Petaluma Road and Valley Ford Road and back onto Highway 1, according to Caltrans. Bicyclists will be detoured onto Whitaker Bluff Road and Middle Road.
