Novato Woman Arrested For Identity Theft

NOVATO, CA — Novato police arrested an identity theft suspect who allegedly possessed the personal information of at least 19 people in Marin County.

Leticia Marie Algere, 41, of Novato was arrested Tuesday at the Villa Inn in San Rafael.

During an investigation, authorities discovered that Algere possessed the personal information of at least 19 people in the county, according to the Novato Police Department. She was also identified as a suspect in theft reports by the Marin County Sheriff's Office. The Marin Coordination of Probation Enforcement team and the Marin County Major Crimes Task Force assisted in the case.

Algere was booked into Marin County Jail on several charges, including identity theft, possession of stolen property, possession of drugs and ammunition.
