June - A month of graduations and Happy Father's Day celebrations at the Novato Youth Center!

Here at the Novato Youth Center we congratulate 14 preschoolers who graduated from the Preschool Program - having learned essential skills such as literacy, engagement and persistence, conflict negotiation, how to develop friendships, and much more. Decades of research shows that high quality and early education helps children be more successful in language and social skills when entering Kindergarten. Research also says that these children will score higher on IQ tests, perform better throughout their school years, and are more likely to graduate from high school and go on to college.

Over half of the kids in the Novato Youth Center’s Child Development Programs, ranging from ages 12 months-14 years, are on scholarships. We are grateful for the grants and contributions we receive, so that children of all socio-economic levels have the access to early education and afterschool enrichment programs. We want all students to succeed at school, at home, and in life!

And this Sunday, we will celebrate together the dads, granddads, and father figures. We honor you for the contribution you make in a child’s life. Happy Father’s Day!
