NOVATO, CA – One of Novato's oldest family-owned businesses is closing its doors.

DeBorba's Saloon, now known as DeBorba's Cocktail Lounge, first opened in 1906.

The business became a billiards parlor during Prohibition. The owner, Antone DeBorba, also opened an ice cream shop at the time on Redwood Boulevard, according to the Novato Historical Guild and the Novato History Museum.
