License Plate-Hiding Device Found On BMW, Driver Cited In Marin County: CHP

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A BMW driver was cited in Marin County after California Highway Patrol officers discovered a device that could conceal the vehicle's license plate at the push of a button, authorities said.

CHP Marin shared video of the traffic stop, which was first reported by KTVU's Henry K. Lee.

According to CHP, the device allowed the driver to cover the license plate while operating the vehicle.

Authorities did not release additional information about the driver or where in Marin County the stop occurred.
