Last Day to Register - Local Author of 'Good Cop, Bad Daughter' speaks at Soroptimist International of Novato Special Membership Meeting

Novatan Karen Lynch was an unlikely person to become one of the first female cops in San Francisco, as she was raised by a counter-culture tribe in Summer of Love Haight-Ashbury. When the San Francisco Police Department was forced by court order to hire women, she found herself compelled to prove to the world that women could cut it as cops. Her memoirs are published in Good Cop, Bad Daughter.

Karen, winner of the 2012 Notes & Words National Essay Contest, will speak at the Soroptimist International of Novato’s Annual Membership Luncheon on Wednesday, October 8. Come listen to Karen as she shares her mesmerizing and inspiring story with us.
