Major Police Action at 4th Street & Vallejo Avenue

This afternoon at a little after 1:00 a blue minivan crashed into the fence of the house across the street from my home at 4th Street and Vallejo Avenue.
It is my understanding that the driver of the vehicle was being pursued by CHP on Hwy 101 through Marin.
The driver crashed the vehicle and fled on foot. An intense search was immediately launched. The search included Marin Sheriff, CHP officers and helicopter and Novato PD officers and detectives.
A shelter in place order was issued and cancelled just a few moments ago.
The scene is now back open to traffic.
The suspect was apprehended.
