Man Crashes Into Parked Cars, Attempts To Flee While Driving Under The Influence In Novato: Police
Five parked vehicles were struck in the incident, resulting in major damages estimated to be in the thousands of dollars, police said.
NOVATO, CA — A Novato man was arrested Monday night following a hit-and-run collision that damaged multiple vehicles, police said.
Around 9 p.m. on Monday, Novato Police Department officers said they were dispatched to the scene after a witness reported seeing a dark-colored vehicle strike several parked cars and attempt to flee on Marin Valley Drive.
Officers said they quickly responded and detained the driver, identified as 64-year-old Edwin Ortega-Moran. Police said they observed signs of intoxication, and Ortega-Moran was arrested.

Ortega-Moran was booked into the Marin County Jail on multiple charges, including driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, hit-and-run, and not having insurance.
