Man Cut With Machete In Novato
Michael Short, 27, of Novato, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats.
NOVATO, CA – A man was arrested after allegedly assaulting another man with a machete Wednesday in Novato.
Novato police arrested Michael Short, 27, of Novato, after he allegedly cut another man's face with the machete and threatened him around 10:50 a.m. near the intersection of Diablo Avenue and South Novato Boulevard.
The victim said that Short assaulted him during a confrontation, according to police.

The victim was treated for minor facial lacerations at the scene by Novato Fire Department and released. Police said the machete was recovered at the scene.
