Man Killed In Novato Crash ID'd
The driver of the Jeep, Taylor Brindley, 24, of Novato, was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

NOVATO, CA – The Marin County Sheriff's Office has identified the driver who died after a suspected DUI crash Tuesday night in Novato as Jimmy Hogges, 70, of Novato.
Hogges died at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday at Marin General Hospital, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office's coroner's division.
Hogges was driving a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup north on Wilson Avenue when a 2015 Jeep Liberty traveling east on Center Road ran a stop sign and collided with the truck around 11:15 p.m., according to Novato police.

The two passengers in the Ford truck were also injured and taken to Marin General Hospital, police said.
The driver of the Jeep, Taylor Brindley, 24, of Novato, was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. He was booked in the Marin County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning.

"We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of our victim and to those effected by this tragedy," police said. "Events like this have a ripple effect through our community and impact not only those who knew and loved the victim, but those who knew the suspect. There are two families suffering a huge loss in a preventable tragedy such as this."
The Novato Police Department is working with the Marin County District Attorney's office on this case.
