Man Shot Several Times In Marin County, Officers Search For Suspects: Police
Police a requesting assistance from drivers who may have been in the area during the time of the shooting.
NOVATO, CA — Police said they are investigating and searching for any suspects involved in a shooting on Saturday in Novato that sent a 50-year-old man to the hospital in critical condition.
At around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Marin California Highway Patrol Dispatch said they received a 911 call about a person being shot several times found on the southside of State Route 37 between US Highway 101 and Atherton Avenue in Novato.
The man who was shot, a 50-year-old Novato resident, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition with several gunshot wounds, but is expected to survive, police said.

A portion of eastbound SR 37 was closed for several hours due to the investigation, police said.
Police said this incident was isolated and there is no immediate danger to the public.

Police said they are requesting drivers who travelled on State Route 37 between US Highway 101 and Atherton Avenue, at around 3 p.m. on Saturday, who recall seeing anything suspicious to contact them at (415) 897-1122, email crimetips@novato.gov or text “Tip Novato” to 888-777.
