Marin County Planning Commission Seeks Applicants for District 4 Seat

Residents of West Novato, West Marin, San Geronimo, San Rafael Canal area, South San Rafael, Corte Madera and Homestead Valley can apply.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – The Marin County Planning Commission is seeking a District 4 representative.

Appointed by the Marin County Board of Supervisors, the Planning Commission reviews and makes recommendations on all countywide and community plan elements and amendments, master plans and rezonings. The commission has final authority — pending appeal to the Board of Supervisors — on subdivisions, design reviews, use permits and other planning decisions appealed from planning staff actions.

Planning commissioners also hear appeals of the findings of the deputy zoning administrator and actions of the county's planning staff.

Residents of West Marin, West Novato, San Geronimo, San Rafael Canal area, South San Rafael, Corte Madera and Homestead Valley are invited to apply for the District 4 seat.

The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27.
