Marin County Robbery Suspect Arrested After Chase

The suspect apparently tried to hide in a local Chipotle.

MARIN COUNTY, CA -- A Marin County sheriff's deputy arrested a robbery suspect who tried to elude capture following a traffic stop Friday. According to sheriff's officials, on Friday night a deputy was driving near the Northgate Mall when he saw a car that had a smashed windshield that was so badly damaged it was difficult to see through it.

The deputy turned his patrol vehicle's lights on in an effort to stop the car, but the suspect driver abruptly parked, then fled toward the mall with a backpack, sheriff's officials said. The deputy pursued the man on
foot.

The suspect ran into a Chipotle restaurant and tried to exit through the storage room. After a brief struggle, the deputy was able to capture the man, sheriff's officials said.
