Marin Pizza Chain Holding Novato Theater Fundraiser

The shuttered Novato Theater's efforts to resurrect the city's longtime cultural institution has made “bring the dream back to life” its campaign mantra.

And while getting the downtown theater up and running again will take a lot of heavy lifting, all you've got to do to make dreams come true for the next two days is eat pizza.

Two local Red Boy Pizza shops will donate 15 percent of sales from any customer mentioning the Novato Theater over the next two days.

The Entrada Drive store's promotion is being held today, and the Diablo Boulevard shop's will be held tomorrow.

The donation amount excludes alcoholic beverages, tax and gratuity.

The historic theater, which has been closed for 20 years, is marshaling public support to reopen as a community cultural center featuring live music, theater and dance performances.
