Novato Student's Photo Chosen for Bank of Marin Calendar

NOVATO, CA -- Sixteen students from 12 local high schools, including one from Novato, will have their photography featured in Bank of Marin’s 2017 community calendar, the bank has revealed.

This marks the seventh year in a row that Bank of Marin has worked with photography teachers and students at North and East Bay high schools to select images for the calendar. Students submitted over 150 images, and judges at the bank made the final photo selections.

“We believe strongly in supporting and encouraging our local youth,” Bank of Marin President and CEORussell A. Colombo said in a statement. “Our annual calendar allows us to showcase their talents and also to give back to the schools that help educate them.”

This year’s featured student photographers are:

• Madison Baldwin, Novato High School;
• Eva Brazer, Tamalpais High School, Mill Valley;
• Nancy Martinez, San Rafael High School;
• Buzor Obiorah, Alameda High School;
• Michael Quinto, Casa Grande High School, Petaluma;
• Nils Waterfield, Justin-Siena High School, Napa;
• Alexa Barnes, Charlotte Coan and Maren Altvater, Marin Catholic High School, Greenbrae;
• Angelica Vance, Napa High School;
• Emma Kallman, Sonoma Academy;
• Lorne Baskin and Yoselin Camacho, Sonoma Valley High School;
• David Kresge, St. Joseph Notre Dame High School, Alameda;
• Frankie Berta and Devon Stapleton, Terra Linda High School

Bank of Marin says it will donate $100 to each participating high school’s photography program for the purchase of supplies and equipment. The 2017 community calendars will be available for free at all Bank of Marin branches.
