Masked Men Rob Novato Costco

BREAKING: Three people wearing surgical masks stole jewelry Sunday from the Costco Wholesale store at 300 Vintage Way.

NOVATO, CA – A Costco in Novato was robbed Sunday morning by three people wearing surgical masks, police said.

According to the Novato Police Department, officers were dispatched around 10:11 a.m. to the Costco Wholesale store at 300 Vintage Way, where the suspects used a hammer to smash the glass display cases and steal jewelry.

The suspects ran from the store to a vehicle that left the area before police arrived at the scene, officials said. Police said no one was injured and the suspects did not display any weapons.

About a month ago, four people stole jewelry in a similar fashion from a Costco in Foster City.

Officers did not find the suspect's getaway vehicle, which was described as a dark-colored, four-door sedan with paper dealer plates. Witnesses described the suspects as African American male adults, possibly in their 20s.
