The Novato Babe Ruth Board has put together a baseball equipment drive. We are working with the Boys & Girls Club of Marin and Southern Sonoma County and The Junior Giants Program to donate baseball equipment that our children have outgrown, don’t use or have no more need for. This includes everything you can imagine: gloves, bats, balls, pants, cleats, belts, batting gloves, helmets, you name it. The Boys & Girls Club has a youth baseball program for kids Kindergarten through 2nd grade so smaller equipment is needed. The Junior Giants will take our bigger equipment and find kids who want to play the game but can’t afford the equipment. What we are asking is simple – please bring any baseball equipment you have for donation to either field over the next two weeks and leave it in the snack shack (I will try to put some type of bin together). Our league will make the donations at or between one of the games on June 8th.
I encourage everyone to give back and thank you in advance. If you have any questions feel free to contact me directly. Jim Treppa President, Novato Babe Ruth
