Novato Bank Robbed, Suspect Sought

Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward.

NOVATO, CA- Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a Novato bank this week.

Officers responded to a U.S. Bank branch at 1711 Grant Ave. at 4:38 p.m. Wednesday on report of a robbery.

A man demanded money and fled the scene on foot toward a nearby library. Witnesses did not see a weapon during the robbery, according to police.

The suspect remained at large as of Wednesday evening, police said.

He’s described as a white man between the ages of 45 and 55 wearing a black baseball hat, a dark gray or faded black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
