Novato Man Accused of Assaulting, Threatening Woman

A Novato man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted, threatened and broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home recently, according to Novato police.

Armando Ochoa, 41, was arrested after police were called at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday to the 1800 block of Novato Boulevard, where his ex-girlfriend reported that he committed a series of assaults against her, police said.

Ochoa allegedly forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home at least four times during the week of April 5. The victim alleged that he had harassed her and had followed her from her apartment to her vehicle, according to police.

A Marin County Superior Court judge has issued an emergency protective order against Ochoa, who is also accused of violating his probation, police said.
