Novato Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Assault With A Deadly Weapon

NOVATO, CA – Police in Novato on Friday arrested a man in connection with an assault.

Lamont Dean, 48, of Novato, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Novato Police Department.

On Friday at 2:15 a.m., officers responded to a report a victim was struck in the head with a gun.

The victim and several witnesses told police Dean was responsible for the assault, and that the crime was committed at an apartment on Mariner Way.

After receiving medical assistance at the scene, the victim was transported to the hospital for additional treatment.

Dean was later located near the intersection of Redwood Boulevard and Landing Court, and he was taken into custody.
