Novato Man Physically, Sexually Assaulted Woman: Police
Police say the man allegedly held the woman against her will at a local apartment, and assaulted her.

NOVATO, CA- A Novato man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at an apartment, police said.
Jack Meyers, 48, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, false imprisonment, domestic violence, violation of a restraining order and violating the terms of his probation, Novato police said.
Officers responded at 1:49 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a sexual assault that had just occurred at an apartment in the 800 block of Diablo Avenue. Police said the victim was held against her will while she was physically and sexually assaulted by Meyers. The victim was transported to a hospital for injuries she suffered during the assault.
Meyers, who is on probation and had a domestic violence restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the victim, was located a short time later at a nearby shopping center, police said.
