Novato Police Arrest 2 For Allegedly Vandalizing San Marin High School

Christopher Mullineaux, 18, ​and Tyler Russo​, 20, were arrested for a felony violation of vandalism and conspiracy to commit vandalism.

NOVATO, CA – Two men were arrested for allegedly vandalizing San Marin High School, police said Friday.

Patrol officers from the Novato Police Department on Tuesday responded to a report of vandalism that had occurred the night before at the school. School staff showed the officers "extensive damage" to grassy areas of the Novato campus, police said.

"It appeared that a vehicle had entered campus, at an unknown time the night before, and purposely drove over grass areas to cause damage," Police Chief Adam McGill said in a press release. "The vandalism was documented and an investigation initiated into the incident."

On Thursday, officers observed a vehicle believed to have been involved in the incident, police said. After a traffic enforcement stop and investigation, both the driver and passenger were arrested for a felony violation of vandalism and conspiracy to commit vandalism.

Christopher Mullineaux, 18, and Tyler Russo, 20, were booked at the Marin County Jail.
