Novato Police: Foot Pursuit Triggers Two Arrests
One suspect resisted arrest, the other possessed stolen property and burglary tools, cops say.

Two Novato residents were arrested on multiple charges including drug possession, police said.
Fabian Markam, 32, was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property, three felony warrants, possession of a dangerous drug, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of burglary tools and a probation violation.
Guadalupe Espino-Solorzano, 28, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
Espino-Solarzano led officers on a short foot chase, ditching a purse containing methamphetamine along the way, police said.
Authorities said they initiated contact with two male subjects near a vehicle parked the Miwok Shell station before the female subject emerged and ran away.
Police searched the area and found one of the male subjects they identified as Markham a few blocks away.
Canine “Metz” sniffed out the vehicle and found illegal drugs, police said. Police said they found stolen property in a search of the vehicle.
Markham and Espino-Solorzano were booked into Marin County Jail.
