Novato Police Nab Three Suspected Car Thieves
Police say the women were caught with stolen mail and property.

NOVATO, CA- Three women were arrested in Novato over the weekend for allegedly stealing items from parked cars.
Margaret Hernandez, 39, of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a crime, possession of stolen property and for an outstanding warrant.
Christina Smith, 32, of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of possession of burglary tools, conspiring to commit a crime and on possession of stolen property.

Diane Rivas, 31, of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, conspiring to commit a crime and possession of stolen property.
Novato police responded at 2:41 a.m. Sunday to 1 Muroc Lake Drive after a resident reported seeing several suspicious women looking into parked cars.

Officers arrived and located the women sitting in a parked SUV. Officers searched the vehicle and located numerous items of stolen mail and property, police said.
Police said officers were able to locate and link several items to thefts that had just occurred in the parking lot.
