"The Novato Police Department has sent resources to help with evacuations and lifesaving efforts," officials said in an advisory.

NOVATO, CA – Novato police will not be responding to non-priority calls Monday, as officers are assisting with evacuations and life-saving efforts for wildfires burning in the North Bay, according to the Novato Police Department.

"The Novato Police Department has sent resources to help with evacuations and lifesaving efforts," police officials said in an advisory. "We are prepared to send additional resources as necessary."

With resources diverted to wildfires in Sonoma County, officials said officers will only be responding to priority calls where "life safety is threatened." Non-priority activity will be suspended until police can resume normal activity.
