Novato Restaurant Robbed By Two Gunmen

The restaurant's patrons and employees were not harmed, police said.

NOVATO, CA – Police are looking for two gunmen who robbed a Chinese restaurant Monday afternoon in Novato.

Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery around 4 p.m. at the China Village Restaurant located at 107 San Marin Drive. According to the Novato Police Department, witnesses said that two men entered the restaurant wearing ski masks and armed with handguns. They allegedly ordered the patrons and employees to the floor and then stole money from the cash register.

Police said the robbers fled the restaurant on foot, and may have left the neighborhood in a vehicle.

When officers arrived, they searched the San Marin neighborhood, but were unable to locate the suspects. The restaurant's patrons and employees were not harmed, police said.
