Novato Teen Cited For House Party With Underage Drinking

NOVATO, CA – A Novato teenager was cited Friday on suspicion of hosting a party where minors were served alcohol, police said.

The Novato Police Department discovered the party around 11 p.m. after receiving a report of a disturbance in the area of 5 Hutchins Way. Novato police Sgt. Trevor Hall said police found several intoxicated minors and learned that they had attended a nearby house party.

Police identified the party host as a 17-year-old girl. She was issued a citation under the Novato Social Host Ordinance.
