Novato Teens Accused of Midday Burglary
The victim said he was inside his home when he saw one of the suspects climb through a window after forcibly removing the screen.
NOVATO, CA- Police arrested four teens last week afternoon after a Novato resident spotted the group trying to enter his home.
At 1:49 p.m. Feb. 16, officers responded to a report of a burglary at a home on Dusel Court, according to police.
The victim said he was inside his home when he saw one of the suspects climb through a window after forcibly removing the screen. When the resident went to confront the suspect, the suspect and his associates fled, police said.

Responding officers saw the group head into a nearby open space and a foot pursuit ensued. With the help of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, officers were able to apprehend three of the suspects and arrest them, according to police.
The fourth suspect was later arrested at his Novato home a short time later.

Two of the suspects were identified 16-year-old boys from San Rafael. A 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy, both from Novato, were also identified as suspects.
The four were arrested on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime and resisting arrest. They were booked into the Marin County Juvenile Hall.
