Dear NUSD Secondary Virtual Learning Academy Family,

We’re excited for the first day of the 2020-21 school year on Thursday, August 20. This will certainly be a first day like no other.

We’re in the process of finalizing student schedules for grades 6-12 and will be sharing them with you by midnight tonight. You will need access to Aeries in order to view your student schedule. Please reach out to help@nusd.org if you are unable to access your Aeries account.

So, how will your student log in on Thursday morning?

Students should open their chromebooks on Thursday morning and type classroom.google.com into their web browser no later than 8:30 am on Thursday, August 20. This will bring up their google classrooms. They need to click on their first period class. Once there, Zoom links will be available from their teachers in their individual google classrooms. Assignments will also be posted online via Google Classroom by teachers. Please contact your school to pick up textbooks, etc.

While you have opted to participate in the Virtual Learning Academy this year, we know how important it is for you to remain informed by and connected to your home schools. If you haven’t received any communications from your home school yet, we are working to get that established so you’re able to receive them from your home school throughout the year.
