Novato Unified School District Clarification On Transfers

Dear Novato Community,

It has been brought to my attention that the community needs greater clarity about the Virtual Learning Academy. Please see the bullet points below:

• Those opting for the Virtual Learning Academy prior to July 20 will receive the highest priority for the program.
• Those opting for the Virtual Learning Academy after July 20 will be placed upon a waiting list and NUSD will work with the goal of getting families into the Academy.
• Families will be able to request a transfer out of the Virtual Learning Academy at any time and these requests will be approved as space is available.
• Families will be able to opt out of the Virtual Learning Academy at the semester break. NUSD will communicate a timeline for this opt out process in or around November.
