Novato Unified School District To Hold First District Elections

The Novato Unified School District will have its first district elections on November 3, 2020 for Trustee Areas 1, 2, 3 and 7. Board of Trustees will now be elected by their Trustee Area. Previously, Trustees were elected from across the city of Novato.

The NUSD Board of Trustees began the process of moving to district elections in March 2019. Through the spring and into the fall, the District held four (4) public hearings and two (2) community input sessions resulting in the approval of the final district area map on November 5, 2019. The final district area map can be found on the NUSD website under District Elections https://nusd.org/district-elections/.

Candidates for Trustee Areas 1, 2, 3 and 7 are encouraged to contact Dan Miller at the Marin Registrar of Voters or call 415 473-6437. Applications are open between July 13 and August 7, 2020 and can be found on the Marin Registrar of Voters website https://www.marincounty.org/depts/rv.
