Novato Unified School District Thanks Community

The Novato Unified School District would like to thank the generous community members and organizations that have helped support the Food and Nutritional Services (FANS) Department in the last two months. In mid-March, FANS began serving 300 lunches and breakfasts a day. This week, FANS is now providing an average of 3,800 meals per day – that includes a breakfast, a lunch and a dinner – or approximately 19,000 meals per week.

A big thank you to:

• Rob Morgan, Morgan Healthy Choices, Novato – 12 cases of healthy snacks
• Aramark Linen, Novato – one week of free of charge service for our aprons, towels
• Susan Rogan, Sustainable Exchange, Novato – sanitize kits for food service staff
• Grazi Restaurant, Novato – prepared salad lunches for food service staff
• Chick – fil –A, Novato – donated box lunches to food service staff
• EAT REAL, Oakland – donated 90 washable face covering for food service staff
• Teachers from Olive Elementary School donated women’s work-out leggings
• Life Time Foundation, MN – donated $ 3,000 toward PPE supplies for food service staff

In addition, NUSD would like to acknowledge Elaine Bell Catering for preparing the dinner boxes.
