Novato's Fireman's Fund Taps Torrance as CEO

Novato-based Fireman's Fund Insurance Company on Monday announced the hiring of a new CEO.

Andrew Torrance replaces Lori Fouche, who left the company to be closer to her family on the East Coast, a company spokesperson said.

Torrance brings more than 30 years of industry experience. He most recently served as CEO of insurance giant Allianz UK, a position he'd held since 2003.

Torrance has degrees in theoretical physics from the University of Cambridge and a master's degree from the London Business School.

His appointment is subject to board approval.
