9.22.2021 NUSD Covid Update
Dear NUSD Community,
Hope this finds you well as we move into the fall. Like much of Marin County, NUSD saw an increase in positive Covid-19 cases following the Labor Day weekend. For the safety of all students and staff:

- Please stay home if you or your student are experiencing any symptoms.
- Get tested as soon as possible and stay home until you have the results.
- For students and staff, please let the school know of the results.
- Here is a link to testing sites in Marin County https://coronavirus.marinhhs.org/testing.
- Each school has a supply of Binax Rapid Antigen Tests that can be used for symptomatic students and staff. Please contact the principal or office manager at your school for more information.
On September 10, 2021, Marin Public Health issued guidelines for youth performing arts, sports, and extracurricular activities. You can find that guidance here.
Here are a few of the highlights:
- Masks are required indoors for all participants, coaches, personnel, and spectators.
- Performing arts (drama, music, singing, etc.), sports, and extracurricular activities are considered high-risk activities, especially when conducted indoors. Music is considered a high-risk activity especially when indoors.
- When practicable, relocate high-risk activities outdoors.
- Overnight travel (field trips, etc.) are considered a high-risk activity and is not recommended.
