DISCUSSION/ACTION
- 2016-17 School Calendar: The Board of Trustees approved the 2016-17 school year calendar presented by Kris Cosca, Assistant Superintendent Human Resources. Mr. Cosca convened a calendar committee composed of representatives of teachers, support staff, parents, and administrators and this was their recommendation. This year County Superintendent Mary Jane Burke led an effort to coordinate all of the county school calendars so that parents and staff members in different districts would have the same breaks and starting/ending times. The 2016-17 calendar can be found here. (Discussion/Action 9.b.)
- Solar Procurement Specialist: The Board of Trustees approved a contract with Sage Renewables to provide expertise in a site analysis of the feasibility of installing solar panels at NUSD’s sites (14), assistance with a Request for Proposal or Quote for a solar vendor, assistance with vendor selection, and assistance with contract negotiations.
