OLL Experiences the Wonders of the Rainforest
Our Lady of Loretto Students, grades TK through 4th, attended a Wildlife Encounters Assembly on the Wonders of the Rainforest.
This morning OLL students, grades TK through 4th, got to get an inside look at some Rainforest animals. Before bringing out the animals the kids learned about the layers that make up a rainforest, along with other characteristics of this fascinating ecosystem.
The presenter from Wildlife Encounters then brought out and walked around with various Rainforest reptiles, including a Honduran milk snake pictured above.
Students had a blast getting an up close look at the other rainforest animals, but the main event was the Macaw bird, which with a little coaxing from the presenter did it's best to say "Hello!" to our students.

At the end of the assembly students had the opportunity to ask comprehensive and factual questions about the rainforest, and some students even had some fun facts up their sleeves to share!
This assembly is sure to be the talk of the playground!
